Program for Universities
Interested in Mandarin Teachers from Taiwan
1. Aim:
Based on mutual agreement, the Ministry of Education in Taipei sends
fully trained mandarin teachers from Taiwan to teach in American universities and colleges.
2. Ministry of Education support (open to negotiation)
- The Ministry of Education provides the mandarin teacher
with one return air ticket to the U.S.A.
- If necessary the Ministry of Education
can provide part of the teacher's salary (for the first year only) of up to
$1,000 per month.
3. The host university would be expected to provide:
- A salary for the teacher (perhaps with help from the
Ministry of
Education in Taipei, see above)
- Benefits such as accommodations, health insurance, etc.
- Help in obtaining a work permit.
